Explanation of the three fundamentals and their proofs

It is obligatory for the believer, both the young and the old among them, to have knowledge of Allaah, His Prophet, and Islaam, along with their corresponding proofs. These proofs are to be found in the verses of the Qur'aan and the (prophetic) narrations. That is the Islamic religion which you have been commanded to enter and to hold fast to. And that is the religion of Allaah which we must follow.
