About this product
Glazed Moroccan Tamegroute ribbed plate. Tamegroute is a remote village in the deep Draa Valley, south of Marrakesh. This completely handmade pottery from the Draa River utilizes the time-honored tradition of local ancestors. Using a unique artisanal process, Tamegroute is made by only seven workshop families in a small village called Tamegroute and passed down from generation to generation. The unique green shades are formed using an ancient mix of natural minerals and elements that remains unchanged. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and has its own characteristics and textures that are created once they are fired in the earthen kilns. Characteristic of Tamegroute are the well-known three markings that appear on each piece as a result of stacking the pottery in the kilns.
Diameter approximately 24 cm.
