Rainbow part 5

Rainbow Part 5: Basics of Islam

The upbringing of children is extremely important, that cannot be denied. The fact that this is also commanded by Allah makes the matter even more significant. Every parent should be concerned about this upbringing, just as every teacher should. But the problem lies in finding a method tailored to children, to help them understand in a simple way matters that are sometimes very difficult to explain, both in terms of the basic rules of life and the fundamental principles of religion.

This can lead to the child not understanding at all the things that parents or teachers are teaching them, or they may understand them partially and misunderstand the rest because it is not explained well to them. It can even lead to essential subjects that are too difficult to explain being simply left out. This represents a failure in pedagogy. Thus, a successful educational program depends not only on its scientific value, but also on the applied pedagogy, the efforts of the teacher, and the commitment of the student.

Therefore, this book contributes to this subject. It is a manual for the pedagogical instruction of the basics of the Islamic religion. The different levels are adapted to the school level of the child.
