Enjoy your life

All praise is due to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon him after whom there is no other prophet… I was sixteen years old when I got my hands on a book by Dale Carnegie titled "How to Win Friends and Influence People." It was a wonderful book that I read several times. The author suggests reading the book again every month... I followed his advice... I began to put his principles into practice in my relationships with people. I noticed that this produced fantastic results. Carnegie mentions a principle in his book, after which he gives examples of experiences of meritorious people in his society: Roosevelt, Lincoln, Joseph, Mike... I reflected and understood that the author was writing and giving advice from the perspective of worldly happiness. What if he had known Islam and its good character traits? He would certainly have attained happiness in both abodes! What if he had used his relational skills to draw closer to his Lord? Then I discovered that Carnegie had committed suicide. I was convinced that his book, despite his merit and prestige, had been of no use to him at all. So, I began to research our own history and I discovered that the biography of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his companions, as well as the events in the lives of exceptional people in our community, are more than sufficient for us. From that moment on, I began compiling this book on the art of human relationships. The book you are holding now did not come into being in a month or a year... It is the result of research that I have conducted over twenty years... Indeed, Allah the Almighty has allowed me to write about twenty books so far, some of which had a circulation of more than two million copies. And yet, the book that I prefer, that is dearest to me and that is most useful, is—in my opinion—this book, which I have written with ink mixed with my blood... I have poured my soul into the lines of this book and I have recorded my memories in it... I have turned them into words that come from my heart and go to the heart of the reader. I swear that they come from my heart, in an attempt to settle in your heart. So have mercy on these words! My joy would be great if I were to learn that a reader of these pages has put their contents into practice. He will see, as will the people around him, how his skills develop and thus he will be able to enjoy life better.
