A concise guide to Islam and its stance on al-Qaeda and ISIS

This is a concise guide aimed at helping non-Muslims of various beliefs and backgrounds to understand the foundations of Islam (what the religion asks of Muslims, the duties they have towards non-Muslims, and the duties they have towards the societies in which they live).

This book covers, among other things, the following topics: the historical foundations of the ideology of al-Qaeda and ISIS, the core of these groups' error, and the Islamic judgment regarding them. In addition, the views of al-Qaeda and ISIS ideologues on 'the caliphate' and 'jihad' are analyzed. Features are also mentioned by which one can recognize true signs of extremism and misinformation about Islam and Muslims. With this information, the reader should be able to recognize and guard against hate propaganda—which is spread by right-wing extremists and well-funded anti-Islam hate networks.

These groups abuse the media and journalism to advance their own political agendas. As well as to sow negativity and hatred against a quarter of the world's population: innocent, ordinary, peaceful Muslims who focus on their daily lives and who have just as much of an aversion—if not more—to terrorism as anyone else.
