The fundamentals and necessities of Islam

Learning monotheism [tawhid], the correct creed [‘aqidah], and the pillars of Islam belongs to the most important of important matters, and to the most obligatory of obligations. This is so that, on the one hand, the creed may be a correct creed, and on the other hand, worship may be a prescribed worship, purely for the sake of the Countenance of Allaah, and in accordance with the precepts of His Messenger.

Therefore, I have written this concise treatise in the light of the Qur’an and the Sunnah, as well as what the scholars of this community and the predecessors of this call have recorded in beneficial and important treatises.

The title of this book is: “Guidance of Mankind to the Fundamentals and Essentials of Islam.”

I have divided it into chapters, in the form of questions and answers, to make it easier to grasp the content and to arrive at a correct understanding.

And I ask Allaah to make it purely for His Countenance, in accordance with His Pleasure, and beneficial to His servants.
